To celebrate the coming of autumn, I’m going to show you what I wore to a summer wedding! Brilliant forward planning there KNEL…
I spent my birthday this year at a wedding! The first wedding I’ve been to since I was about 5 in fact. My cousin finally tied the knot with her longterm love and it was the most beautiful day. Yes I cried on more than one occasion, and yes I drank a little too much wine (thank the lord there was somehow no hangover!)
It took me forever to decide what I was going to be wearing. All I knew was that I wanted a midi dress, and something aside from my usual monochrome choices. I ordered several dresses but once I’d tried this one on I knew it was the one. It’s a sturdy but not overly thick or heavy fabric, and the dress itself has a great structure and fits perfectly in all the right places. It’s also bright yellow and unlike anything else I have in my wardrobe! I definitely want more bright midis in my collection.
I found my mirrored silver shoes, but I had the hardest time finding a bag. I had wanted a matching silver one but I couldn’t find one that didn’t look ridiculously tacky in all honesty! In the end I went with my grey navy Hermès Paris clutch. I don’t get to use this very often but the tone went very well with my dress. I matched my nails to the flowers and finished off with my silver rings.
