Photo Diary: A Winter Week in Wales

Wales

This year, aged 24 and a half I spent my very first Christmas away from home.

I know that many people have spent Christmas in various different places, split between different branches of family. For some it may be the norm, for many nothing out of the ordinary. Myself, well I’ve never had a Christmas morning without my parents and my sister, so it was pretty weird.

I spent the week away with a large number of Ali’s family on a farm in Wales, and whilst I did miss home, I had a totally magical time. We were incredibly lucky with the weather which was utterly stunning for the most part. Out of every window was a beautiful striking view of the Welsh countryside, and we all know being in the countryside makes me feel happy.

It was a week of fantastic company, food, festivities, walks, jigsaws, card games, pubs and beautiful scenery at every turn. Plus seeing an utterly clear night sky full of stars from a hot tub isn’t too bad either!

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have seen a few of these snaps already, but here’s my photo diary for the week!

A week in the country was just what I needed I think! How did you spend your Christmas?
