One of the biggest problems my skin faces in the winter is dryness. Whilst it causes flakiness around my nose and forehead, the affects of the cold weather are not limited to my face. In fact it is the skin on the rest of my body that suffers the most!
Enter cult classic product Weleda Skin Food* to solve all my dry skin woes.
I’m not going to beat around the bush and keep you waiting until the end of this post for my final verdict. I will never be without this product again, especially in winter. This multi-use product is designed to work wonders on any part of the body, enriching and hydrating it.
You could use this on your cuticles, hands, elbows or even on your face for particularly dry patches. Wherever you decide to use it, you don’t need much at all due to to the super rich formula. The two ways I have been using this product the most are:
- As a foot nourisher – I apply Skin Food to my feet (slightly thicker around the heels) before bed and then sleep with socks on. After a few days of this there is a visible difference to my feet and this is a trick I will always employ just before a holiday in the future.
- As an eye treatment – My under-eye area can become quite dry when I’m over tired. I will apply the teeny tiniest amount of Skin Food under my eyes to alleviate any dry patches and help hydrate the area.
This product is suitable for vegetarians. It contains extracts of viola tricolor, calendula and chamomile to help soothe the skin. As the base of the product is a rich and thick blend of oils and beeswax, it ensures hydration.
Skin Food is described by Weleda as their ‘best beauty secret’, and after trying it for myself I can completely see why! I’m a convert and I’ll forever keep stocked up!
