A lot of my posts feel very overdue at the moment, so I’m carrying on the trend and talking about a Lush Oxford Street haul from over a month ago! My last post talked about what I wore to a wedding at the end of July. Said wedding took place in London, so I also took some time to visit a friend and do some shopping! Of course when we ended up on Oxford Street I just had to go into the Lush store there and pick up some exclusive goodies! I ended up picking five products – all of which you can only get at the Lush Oxford Street store..
Ylang Song was one I was very intrigued about. It doesn’t look like the most exciting bath bomb in the world in all honesty, but the staff kept telling me it was a surprising one – and it is! It smells lovely and fresh and is definitely one that I would recommend, but you’ll have to stay tuned for the post telling you why!
From the scent to the shape, the Cyanide Pill is such an unusual bath bomb. It smells just like marzipan, and personally I think there is always room for a bath to smell like food. One of my favourite products is the Soap and Glory Rich and Foamous Body Wash because it smells like cake! The shape is obviously inspired by a pill and it’s a fast fizzer and full of popping candy so it’s an interesting one! I thought the water would go a similar colour to when I used Cinders, but it went more like the colour of a yellow highlighter – still not the most relaxing of colours but at least it didn’t look like wee!
I was really excited about trying the bath oils! At £2 apiece they seem pretty good value and I just think they’re a nice idea. Johnny Appleseed smells like sour apple candy, which was one of my favourites when I was little! Given it looks like a teeny apple as well is just super cute!
If you’ve smelled the Furze perfume from Lush, you’ll know what the bath oil smells like. I was very intrigued by this little bath oil because it looks so different to the rest! As you can see it’s covered in greenery and topped with little flowers. Whilst this bath smelled great and was super moisturising, I have to say I won’t be buying this again. In theory it’s great, but it just made such a mess in the bath afterwards. When I’m having a pampering evening I just don’t find it relaxing to have to clean the tub afterwards!
This was a purchase enabled by the staff in store. I was thinking about grabbing a shower gel but the second I smelled Plum Rain I knew that I had to get it. The guy that served me at the counter said that I’d timed it right as it was selling out more or less as soon as it hit the shelves at the time. It smells absolutely fantastic and is unlike anything I’ve ever smelled before. It screams autumn and I really wish I’d picked up a bigger bottle!
Have you tried any of the Lush Oxford Street exclusives? What were your favourites?
