When an invite for an evening of festive fun with my fellow Nottingham bloggers landed in my inbox a few weeks ago, of course I had to say yes. Despite moving to Nottingham back in February, I hadn’t yet been to a local event. Up to this event, everything always clashed with work! Plus festive fun – I couldn’t pass that up could I?!
An area in the upstairs mall of the Victoria Centre had been transformed into a festive living room by House of Fraser. We had a good old mingle, sipping on cocktails from Thaikhun. It was fab to finally meet so many local bloggers that I’m sure I’ll see more of in the future. As an added bonus Indy, who I knew through work, was also there! We had a great catch up and everyone needs to follow her gorgeous Instagram.
Then it was time to get hands on with the festive fun. We were asked to bring along a jumper to jazz up with Super+Super. A huge table covered in craft supplies were at our disposal. I had so much fun creating my festive, if a little simple jumper. My green jumper became the background for tonnes of holly!
We got to sample the frozen yoghurt from the Sloane Brothers. Let me say right now, you have to get yourself straight there because that froyo is insane! They were also super accommodating by providing vegan and gluten free creations for those who needed them. The pot I picked had chocolate froyo with four biscuits and an entire brownie – safe to say I didn’t need dinner that evening!
After all of this, we had the chance to try out the HTC Vive Virtual Reality Experience kits in the festive winter wonderland area. The experience let you decorate your own Christmas tree under the northern lights. I was so busy gabbing that I didn’t get the chance to try it out for myself! I am going to book a slot to try it out though because all the girls said it was fantastic!
We came away with a goodie bag full of treats from House of Fraser – and chocolate and candy canes! I had such a fab festive time, and I can’t wait until the next event!
Have you got your festive jumper yet?
