We’ve all seen it on Twitter, and many of us will have said it ourselves.

I’ve spoken about feeling unmotivated with blogging and struggling to write in some of my last posts, but that isn’t to say that I didn’t have ideas. The most frustrating thing was that I had all these ideas in my head which I just couldn’t get down on paper. And that’s because of the fantastic day I spent in Leeds last month at icelolly.com‘s Blog At The Beach event.
June saw a month of radio silence here on KNEL as I found myself struggling to write. Because of this I really threw myself into improving my photos because I really needed to be creating something. So despite the algorithm, despite bot-gate, despite all the annoying things about Instagram, I threw myself into it. So what better way to give you an update on what I got up to than a rundown of my June on Instagram?

You know when you’re in a really good routine of doing something, like going to the gym, and then you just stop? And the longer you leave it before you get back to it, the harder it gets? I’ve kind of been having that with my writing recently.
Last week it was announced that Instagram is ranked the worst social media platform for young people’s mental health. Personally, this wasn’t much of a shocker to me. How many times have you scrolled past an image and thought how you wanted to look like that, or live there, or have that? Quite a few times I’d wager. It breeds comparison culture, and of course, this can’t be good for our mental wellbeing.
