This week marked two whole years since I packed up my belongings, piled them into Ali’s car and moved to Nottingham. That means it’s also six months since Ali and I moved into our little nest!

Some of my earliest memories include sitting with my gran as she did her make up, asking lots of questions. When she was going out for dinner she’d always finish with a couple of dabs of Chanel No. 5. We’re all familiar with this strong fragrance, which made me scoff as a kid and declare that I’d never wear anything ‘so old’.
Life can feel totally overwhelming and leave you feeling stressed sometimes, can’t it? I find this especially true in January when the Christmas sparkle has gone and all that’s left is cold days, dark nights and mounting pressure to ‘better yourself’.
At the beginning of 2017, I was struggling. I had recently been made redundant and had no idea what direction my life was about to take. I decided not to make new year’s resolutions, and instead set myself the aim of finding stability.
25th November 2016. I was sat at my desk at work happily browsing the Black Friday sales and buying Christmas presents. Of course between this, I was getting on with my day to day tasks with absolutely no idea that I’d be heading home without a job later that day.
