The Body Shop is somewhere I’ve shopped for years. I’ve always been a huge fan of their Vitamin E range and their new Almond Milk and Honey range has been amazing for my dry skin. Plus my summer perfume is their Italian Fig scent – go smell it if you haven’t already! One thing I’ve never tried from there yet is a face mask. Anyone who uses Instagram will have seen their gorgeous collection of face masks in a glass jar and I finally got around to trying one!
One thing you realise after a while is that the best thing to invest in when it comes to your beauty regime is skincare. Whenever the seasons change, my skin tends to have trouble adjusting and ends up very dull. So the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask was my weapon of choice and having never tried a charcoal mask before, I didn’t know what to expect.
I’m a big fan of the packaging. You can see why these masks proved so popular on Instagram, they’re just so photogenic. A thick, heavy brown glass jar with a bright label and matte black lid looks super chic in any bathroom.
It’s a really simple process. Apply an even layer to your skin (I’ve been loving using the Facial Mask Brush to do this – less mess!) and leave it to dry for about 10 minutes. After this simply rinse away with warm water using circular motions to help exfoliate your skin.
The Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask contains bamboo charcoal, green tea leaves and organic tea tree oil. It’s supposed to give you a healthy glow, remove excess oils, help remove clogged pores, exfoliate and revive your skin. And it’s 100% vegan!
After using this mask twice a week for a couple of weeks there is a clear difference in my skin. It’s definitely much glowier and less congested – which is exactly what the mask claims to do. I have to say I love the scent as well! I don’t know what I expected it to smell like, but the tangy scent was right up my street. Think tea tree and lime combined!
The Body Shop released the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask alongside four other masks which target different skin concerns. I definitely want to give the others that would help my own skin concerns!
Have you tried any of these masks?
