6 Goals for 2016

January 1st, it’s that time of year again! Happy New Year to all you lovely people. I hope you had fun bringing in 2016 whatever you were doing, and I hope you are looking forward to what the year has to bring.
New Year New Start isn’t usually a mantra I live by, but after a tough few months I’m really feeling it this time around. This year is going to be my year! So without further ado here’s a small list of personal goals for myself in 2016.

  1. MOISTURISE MORE. I’m terrible at moisturising sometimes. I’ll go through stages where I do it religiously for about 2 weeks, and then I only do it every now and then. I really suffer from dry, dull skin particularly on my legs, so I really need to step my game up to keep that at bay!
  2. READ MORE. I’ve got a list longer than my arm of books I really want to read. I’m currently working my way through the Game of Thrones series and I’ve vowed that I’m not letting myself read anything else until I’ve finished. After that the world is my oyster – send me recommendations!
  3. BE MORE POSITIVE. I’m a naturally positive person, and I’ve always got a can do attitude. I’m always the first to say right this is the situation, this is what we do now. A few things in my life recently have sadly left me feeling very flat and defeated with certain things, and I’m determined to turn that around.
WORK ON MY HEALTH. I’ve had a few ongoing health problems which I really want to hammer down and then really get my general health in shape. I want to get back to running which I hopefully will be able to do with the go ahead from my doctor. If I get the go ahead I want to begin training for my first 10k, and if not… well I’ll just have to find something else instead! I plan to continue with yoga and eating great food.
  4. GET A JOB. Seriously, if I don’t get a job in 2016 I might as well give up. I’ve done two amazing placements since moving back to Manchester which have re-affirmed just how much I want to get into the industry – and they’ve showed that (not to toot my own horn) I’m not half bad at it!
  5. GET MY TATTOO. I never did get round to this last year. I have already decided that this will be my celebration when I get my job. What I want hasn’t changed a bit, so I’m confident in getting this design – plus having designed it myself to a point makes it even more personal.
